Jon has over 30 years in the tourism industry working with large scale OTAs, Attractions, and Tour Operators. In his early years, he studied Epidemiology, Health and Safety at Oregon State University and went on to gain public health field experience in Northern Arizona, an area covering National Parks, Tourist Attractions, and the Navajo Nation. He reviewed sanitation system designs and performed hygiene inspections at hotels, pools, restaurants, and schools. In 1996 he worked with the CDC in researching Hantavirus, the last novel coronavirus to hit the US. In the late 1990's he took a break from public health to earn a law degree from the University of Arizona. In the travel industry, he's been an early employee of Viator, City Sightseeing USA, Tiqets, Take Walks, and more. Jon is based in Bangkok but often found in Portland Oregon with his daughter and her cat named Dennis From Shipping and Receiving.
Our SanSee Safety System was developed with input from many, many sources: Attraction Operations Managers, Epidemiologists, Entrepreneurs, Public Health Officials, Microbiologists, Chemists, PR Professionals, Lawyers, Museum Designers, Safety Supply Chain planners, Equipment manufacturers and more. If you'd like to contribute to bringing the tourism industry back better and safer than ever and offer your skills to become an official or unofficial advisor to SanSee, drop us a line over at jon@sansee.travel.
